Heads of the French, British and German employer’s unions strongly criticize their respective environment ministers’ support for unilateral deeper cuts in CO2 emissions
Last July the French, British and German environment ministers published a letter about the unconditional and unilateral 30% reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions by 2020 instead of the agreed 20%. In a joint reaction to the three environment ministers the head of the French employers’ organization, MEDEF, together with the Director-General of Britain’s CBI and their German counterpart at BDI wrote that such a step would jeopardize and potentially damage European competitiveness...
